May 29th, 2015-Taylor arrives in UK!!
all is well and im at the MTC here in Trouley (I think thats what its called dont put money on it though) we finally arrived today and have just been getting our bearings here and going through some stuff with the MTC president. the weather is really nice, the mtc is absolutely beautiful, and we found out that we are only going to be some of the 25 total missionaries here during our stay! how crazy is that?! also we have some missionaries who are from africa (zimbabwe and ghana) who while waiting for us to arrive, were able to receive their endowments at the temple today. how crazy is that? no temples anywhere close to them so they came on an airplane for their first time ever and now here they are getting their endowments the day before we start training. we really have things easy in america and boy do british people talk funny. anyways, the mtc president is really nice and we have yet to meet the other missionaries in our group so im looking forward to it.
on the plane ride from london to manchester (only about an hour) i talked a lot to the two people on either side of me. they taught me a lot of things about england so i feel as if i am just a little more knowledgable about it now. the lady sitting to my left was really funny and nice and although she didn't want to talk about the gospel much she told me a lot about what it was going to be like, living in london and a different culture for the first time... her name was Sarah
on a side note, can you believe i spent two and a half full days traveling?! and most of those days spent in an airport just waiting around.... lets just say im looking forward to start doing missionary things :)
love and miss you guys and thanks to dad ive been able to sleep through most of our long plane rides. i imagine i'll email pretty soon seeing as its already friday and p-day is probably monday, but the president doesnt want any phone calls from helicopter moms worrying about their kid (i know mom would never do that) so he wanted us to email you guys. Not that I didn't want to or anything but i think its funny that i havent gone a day without contacting you guys... tender mercies huh?
p.s. guess who finally got his tag?
